Hello!

I’m Z. I’m 29 years old and live in the U.K.

I’ve always loved reading. As a child, I begged my dad to buy me used books on eBay, and thumbed through the same copy of Harry Potter until the words faded from the page. As a teenager, I scored through a novel a night, bringing a new book to school or borrowing far more than I was allowed from the library. Once I went to university, I stopped reading to study, and only bought novels to read on my train rides home.

I started reading again in 2019, and re-discovered the joy of novels, fiction and memoirs.

If I’m not reading, I’m: sleeping, playing video games, taking photos of everything and anything or spending time with my friends and family. I have a cat that used to make a cameo on my posts (she’s too old and grumpy to photograph now).

I mostly enjoy memoirs and contemporary fiction, but I’ll read almost anything.

This blog is mostly a place for me to catalogue and talk about books in more depth than just adding them to my yearly spreadsheet. I don’t mind if no one reads this beyond my 5 friends. This year, I’m trying to write a weekly round up of what I’ve read!
